Nikita Golovachev, MD is an orthopaedic surgery resident at AdventHealth Orlando in partnership with Rothman Orthopaedics.

Born in Russia, Dr. Golovachev immigrated to the United States at the age of six. He grew up in Florida and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida. Before medical school, he spent a year working in construction, work that gave him an early appreciation for precision and physical craft.

He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society and completed his clinical training at the AdventHealth Orlando regional campus. Between his third and fourth years, Dr. Golovachev completed a dedicated research year at Rothman Orthopaedics Florida, publishing across hand, shoulder, and adult reconstruction, and presenting at national meetings including the Eastern Orthopaedic Association and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Golovachev's clinical interests center on joint reconstruction and sports medicine, and he intends to pursue fellowship training in one of the two.

Dr. Golovachev met his wife, Catherine, during medical school. They live in Orlando and are expecting their first child in November 2026. Outside the hospital, he is active in the gym, golfs, skis, and plays tennis and pickleball with Catherine.
